METALLIC SYSTEMS

A finish that looks nothing like concrete

Metallic epoxy creates a fluid, marble-like surface that catches light differently from every angle. It's a showroom finish, not a garage floor.

WAKE FOREST FAQ

Your epoxy questions answered

Quick answers to the most common questions about our process and services.

How long does an epoxy floor installation take?

Most residential garage floors take 2-3 days from prep to finish. We grind the concrete, apply the base coat, and seal it. You can typically walk on it after 24 hours and park on it after 72 hours.

Do I need to move everything out of the garage beforehand?

Yes, the area needs to be empty for us to prep and coat the floor. We can help you plan the timing so you're not without your garage for more than a few days.

Will epoxy hold up to hot tires and chemicals?

Yes. Our coatings are formulated to resist hot tire pickup, oil spills, gasoline, and common garage chemicals. That's the point of epoxy over bare concrete.

What kind of prep work is needed before installation?

We diamond-grind the concrete to remove any existing sealers, adhesives, or imperfections. This ensures the epoxy bonds properly and won't peel or bubble later.

Can you apply epoxy over existing paint or coatings?

Only if the old coating is fully removed. We grind everything down to bare concrete first. Applying over old paint risks delamination and a short lifespan.

Do you offer commercial epoxy for warehouses or retail spaces?

We do. Commercial jobs use thicker, high-abrasion-resistance systems. We'll walk the space, talk about traffic levels, and recommend the right build-up for your needs.
